German swimming badge bronze (free swimmer) – examination

We offer participants of our swimming courses regular examination dates at one of our partner swimming pools.

Meeting point and time: We ask all children to arrive at the cash desk area / entrance to the swimming pool at least 15 minutes before the start of the test. There they will meet our trainer who will take them into the swimming pool (parents must wait outside during this time). After the test, the children are taken back to their parents. After successfully completing the following tests, the children receive the bronze badge (free swimmer).

Theoretical examinations

• The theoretical examination covers knowledge of bathing rules

Practical examinations

• Jump headfirst from the edge of the pool and swim for 15 minutes. In this time, at least 200 m must be covered, 150 m of which must be in the prone or supine position in a recognizable swimming style and 50 m in the other body position (change of body position while swimming on the swimming lane without holding on)
• one deep dive of approx. 2 m from the water surface with retrieval of an object (e.g.: small diving ring)
• one package jump from the starting block or 1 m board
